The Avedis Zildjian Co. is pleased to announce the introduction of new sizes into its popular "K Light" cymbal series. The 22-inch K Light Ride, 15-inch K Light HiHats and 16-inch K Light HiHats add even more options to the growing number of rock and pop drummers choosing the darker sounds of the K Zildjian cymbal range.

The new 22-inch K Light Ride comes in a traditional finish and is thin in weight. It features the same "smoky" sound and excellent stick definition of the existing 24-inch model but in a smaller more controllable size. The 15-inch and 16-inch K Light HiHats offer more volume and lots of "wash" for a "sloshy" feel. They feature a traditional finish with a medium-thin weight top cymbal and a medium weight bottom cymbal. The 16-inch K Light HiHats are the first ever 16-inch HiHats offered in the K Zildjian range. Both the Ride and the HiHats are versatile enough for almost any style of music.

The 22-inch K Light Ride is currently being played by Jason Bonham (Led Zeppelin) who employs both the 24-inch and the 22-inch K Light Rides in his set up. The K Light Series was first introduced in January 2007 and has been played by artists such as Travis Barker (+44), Ronnie Vannucci (The Killers), Ahmir "?uestlove" Thompson (The Roots), Joey Castillo (Queens of the Stone Age) and many others.

Based on the famed cymbals that Kerope Zildjian made in the 19th Century, the K Zildjian Series has been updated and improved to meet contemporary demands. Extensive hammering and fine lathing creates warmer sounding cymbals with even more responsiveness and versatility.

Once thought of as primarily a jazz cymbal, K Zildjians are becoming the favorites of rock and pop drummers as well. Read more about and hear the K Light series at www.zildjian.com/klight.
