PRESS RELEASE
AF2 Airplane Flanger
February 09, 2009
Advertisement 2009 is definitely the Year of Paul Gilbert. At least, where Ibanez is concerned. Not only does the light speed guitar virtuoso debut three different Paul Gilbert Signature Model guitars at the 2009 Anaheim NAMM Show, he'll also introduce his own signature effects pedal, the Paul Gilbert AP7 Airplane Flange. The AF2 Airplane Flanger is described by Ibanez as being "two pedals in one package." One section is a tradition chorus flange; the other is the "Taxi Take off" flange (hence the "Airplane" moniker), which provides Paul Gilbert's own "crazy flange" sound, which includes shifting the pitch up and down. The AF2 features Manual (delay time), Speed (modulation speed), Range (depth of modulation), and Enhance (feedback) controls. The list price is $214.27.
