Tama turned more than a few heads with the Summer NAMM 2006 debut of the Warlord Collection, a group of snare drums, adorned with elaborate and menacing lugs with Swarovski crystals, and featuring names of warrior groups both real and mythical. Not exactly your father's snare drums (you should pardon the cliche).

Well, with a $2849.99 price tag, old Dad would have a complete meltdown if you brought home Tama's latest Warlord, the Titan. "Well, at least until he picked it up and played it," counters Paul Specht of Tama. "The Titan weighs almost nothing compared to our super-super-heavy and also very expensive Bell Brass snare drums, which many consider to be the best snare drums of all timeand many players actually like the sound of the titanium shell even better than the famous Bell Brass. As a matter of fact, the Titan has just plain overwhelming volume, and the strongest attack out of all the Warlord collection snares."

The KTT146C features a 6 x 14" 1.0mm titanium shell with Tama's Resonant Sound Edge bearing edge, die-cast hoops and a hardshell case.
